Springtime makeup favourites!

It's fair to say that I love makeup! I sneekily started wearing it when I was about 12 or 13, of course I wasn't allowed to, and never went out of the house with it on! I seem to remember a love of turquoise eyeshadow, I think I had more under the eye than on the top! Ha!

But the love is still there, and this month I've started with the Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Glow. As it's got SPF50 I thought I could wear it instead of my usual SPF. Well, it's very soft and smooth, goes on like a dream and totally sinks in, but you can hear a big but coming can't you! Because it's got this glow and is slightly luminous it makes me look tanned! I think it will be wonderful when I get a bit of summer colour, but for now I feel a bit orange! I got it from the Tik Tok shop at a great price of £3.99. Can be usually £12.99

The other product that was new to me was Primark prep & perfect Pore Smoothener Primer at £4. It's a super putty like primer that literally glides over your skin. It's little bit tinted but that helps to give a more even tone. it really is a great product, not unlike the more expensive ones like Elf and Cosmetics a La Carte. I love the feel as it glides on my skin and it gives such a poreless, soft finish. I think its definitely my favourite kind of primer. Just be careful when you squeeze the tube as it tends to fly out!

I've been wearing the Bare Mineral Original mineral powder foundation this month in Medium Beige. This is such an easy, effortless foundation, I can't see how any one could go wrong. Just tap a little into the lid, swirl you kabuki brush into the powder, tap the excess off, then then swirl it all over your face. The marvellous thing is you can wear as little or as much as you want and have as much coverage as you want. Also if you get hot (ideal for the Summer months) it will stay put and you don't feel as if you have got foundation on! A no brainier! You can find it on Boots or online , normally about £29.99, worth every penny.

My next product in this spring favourite line up was concealer. I've been using the Primark My Perfect Color Illuminate Under Eye Concealer in Beige, marvellous at £3.50. I had such difficulty trying to get the concealer up into the sponge, in the end I went back into the store and asked for help! I had been turning it the wrong way, clockwise. Anyway, the sponge tip is lovely and soft, and the product is soft, silky and smooth, and covers what needs to be covered without looking made up! I wouldn't be able to tell if was an expensive one or not. Definitely a winner.

I've had an absolute love affair with the Primark Dollface Eye Shadow Palette this month! I couldn't believe the quality of this little palette. Normally you always get one or two shadows that are impossible to wear, but not these. They are smooth and even to apply, with a good amount of pigment. All for £3.50, I was so impressed. It's now safe to say I've tried all the colours in every combination, definitely a favourite!

i didn't seem to wear much blusher this month, not sure why, but used my go-to bronzer that I've used for ages. Perfect colour, perfect texture. Just put a little on high on the cheek bones and the top of the forehead for a healthy look. L'Oréal Glam Bronze La Terra or a similar one is Bronze to Paradise £6.99

I've now mastered this great eye brow pen! Maybelline Build A Brow £12.99. It has a gorgeous, very fine tip and I was a bit heavy handed with it! I've tried so many eye brow products and they are either too light or too heavy and I look ridiculous! That's the trouble when your eyebrows seem to be disappearing fast! I do tint them, but you have to have the hairs to tint in the first place!

This is the perfect colour for me, an ash brown. Use it with light feathery strokes to build up the eyebrow shape, the density of your brow, or just to fill in gapes. Then with the other end, just brush through. It finely coats the hair setting the brows in place and helps even out the brush strokes. Brilliant!

My mascara! While I continue to explore many others, the easiest to apply, not clumping, marvellous brush that allows you to get right to the base of the lashes, has to be L'Oréal's Telescopic in black about £12.99. Boring I know, but what can I tell you it works so well!

And so on to the lips! On repeat, I keep on going back to a clear favourite - Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in 125. Lasts all day, soft, smooth, great colours and a pointed tip do you can apply it with precision or not! A clear winner in every shade!
