So this was a complete surprise as to how many great makeup products Poundland has! It’s not your immediate thought is it? Ooh Poundland! Makeup! But look a little bit more closely and you’ll be delighted and very surprised. I have to say I went in there for something completely different, I think it was something for my dog, Torre, probably another treat!🤣 I ended up by browsing the makeup section and came away with a haul!

Thank you so much for reading this blog, I hope you found it interesting, informative and not to be taken too seriously! Mostly I hope it encourages you to go out and try new things!

So first up was this cute, cream blusher, there are many like this on the market, all good and generally in a larger tube, and a much higher price. This pretty pink one, with a slight glow, blended well, stayed in place and looked gorgeous!

It’s a perfect little blusher for going into Autumn when you want to tone down your makeup! your tan is fading, the light is changing and you start to wear different, darker colours. It’s really soft, pink and light, you can’t go wrong and so pretty and easy to use! Poundland Blush Hour Liquid Cream Blush 1 Pink £1! Perfect to try! Just tap a little on from your hand high up onto the cheeks and you’ll have an instant lift!

So this foundation is Keep On Glowing Illuminating Foundation in 4 Latte from Poundland! It’s quite a light coverage. I’ve never used one of their foundations before, but now I’ve tried this one I’m impressed! I’ll definitely have to try the others!  Well I found it pretty good coverage even though it is light and I’ve got a lot to cover! I must say, good colour though I think I could do with one slightly paler. It was so easy to apply, just the right amount of flow to it. Very creamy and soft. In fact it ‘s become such a great success that I’ve been wearing it all week! £2.50, I can hardly believe it!

Do you use just one colour or mix both together? Why is there even such a pale one if it’s not a highlighter? Well it turns out that the beige looking one is actually a light pigmented pink one and it’s lovely for this time of year! The other one is quite bright, so great if you have a darker skin or a tan! But be careful, as when I first applied it, it was very pink, alright after I had brushed it down a bit! Shame on me, but I thought the powder would be fairly coarse, but what a surprise! Lesson learnt, don’t judge a book by its cover, or in this case the price! It turned out to be a super little blush palette. I would wear them both! It’s from Poundland £2.50! Feeling Blush Duo Blusher in Matte 1.

Pov: because you can never have enough lipsticks! Tie is one of two lipsticks that I have in this range, I didn’t know if this was going to be too moisturising as in too light in coverage for me. Ok I’m always going to prefer a more matte coverage but for a different slap it on and forget about it look, it’s perfect! light, soft and pink, gorgeous! And I would wear it on top of my matte took fit a lasting, shimmery, soft look. This one is Get Lippy in 8 Boss and my other favourite thatI always keep in my handbag is Fiery

This Hide & Chic Multi-use Concealer is a bit of a super little colour corrector concealer in Vanilla. It’s just a great colour to help diminish those bluer shadows under the eyes which seem to get more obvious with age, I suppose it’s the joy of getting thinner skin that does it! It also has a nifty little slanted applicator which helps with the application if you haven’t got a brush or you don’t want to pay it in place with your finger tip. I often use it my itself or combined with a heavier concealer if I want more coverage. So you can use it under your heavier concealer or just by itself! Only £1, so you can’t go wrong!

It’s always a challenge to make your eyebrows look there best, particularly when they are quite fine? over plucked and light in colour! There are a number of options open to you but if you don’t want to go down the Microblading path (painful, and you’ll need to top them up), or have them dyed (the professional HD Brows is always the best, but lasts only about 6 weeks) then you just have to rely on makeup! Poundland do a pretty good brow gel, I was impressed by the little tiny brush that you can brush on the tiniest of eyebrows to get some colour and depth. I use it along with the Maybelline Build a Brow which has a super fine brush, it gives me a pretty good finish!

I know you can find a lovely lipstick anywhere! But did I expect to find a lipstick with such a soft applicator, a lipstick that’s the perfect colour, and lipstick that lasts for £? I mean! This lipstick is gorgeous, the water based lipstick dries to a matte finish, the colour 3 Mulberry Pie, is the perfect pink for anyone who likes a pink! Not bright or dark, a perfect neutral colour. So I’m so pleased I’ve found it, and I’m wearing it all the time! Just like Matte

I’ve had this little eye shadow palette of 4 super shades in my makeup drawer for ages now, if I don’t know what to put on I’ll always reach for it because I know it will just work. The 4 colours give you an option of what to use, but I normally go with the lot! And also place the darkest between the top lashes to add definition and it helps make the lashes look thicker (always a plus!) it looks good on all colourings a fail safe solution!  All About The Shadow Eyeshadow Quad Nude Glow 1 all for £1!

So what I lip oil? Is it a gloss or a balm, is it meant to treat and soften? I’ve never knew! So I thought I would investigate. They are available everywhere and also come in flavours. Oh My Glaze Tinted Lip Oil  has a slight cherry thing going on, and when you apply it has a very light pinkish/red tint to it. I’ve never tried this before and came away quite a convert! Luckily it’s not slickly like a lip gloss can be (not a favourite of mine) but it is slightly oily (hence the name!) with a little bit of viscousness to it. I actually really like the feel and funnily enough the look. I would wear it by itself if I wanted to treat my lips or if day, I was on holiday, and just wanted a glimmer of something in my lips. Maybe some people wear it over lipstick I don’t know!
